Christians confirmed yesterday that they were still deluding themselves that anybody cares about their atavistic, man made, hokey, desert religion. 
In spite of changes to the laws in the UK regarding the teaching of homosexuality in schools, abortion, divorce, adoption against the wishes of the church Christians are still kidding themselves that their bizarre self hating ideas carry some sort of weight in the twenty first century.
A religion that used to send out crusading armies to conquer the world, persecute other religions, apostates and homosexuals, while throwing 'heretics' and atheists on the rack apparently hasn't realised that it's lost it's power a long time ago. Sort of like a dictator that thinks he's still running his country but in fact everyone stopped paying attention to him years or even decades ago.
Still if we ever need somebody to advance an unprovable hypothesis, then use it as a pretext for the imposition of an impossible to follow set of rules which serve only to control and defraud the credulous then don't worry religion, we'll give you a call.
Since we don't need that and in fact need to figure out how to live together and profit from one another without nuking each other back to a point that makes the Flintones look like fucking Star Trek then don't hold your breath while waiting for that call.
In fact I think I speak for all rational people when I say, religion, you've made a tremendous genocidal mess of things for far too long, take your original sin, pervert priests, creeds, homophobia, martial fanatics, temples, prayers and fuck off. Fuck off all the way to fucking fuckery you enormously solipsistic self serving waste of time and space.
Oh BTW props to Moses for narrating events that happened after he died as well as his own funeral. I mean I knew he was a bad ass but damn, there's just no stopping this guy, he doesn't let a little thing like being dead get in the way of finishing a book.
